Simple batty card. The "Out on a Limb" stamp set is so cute! The tree branches and the bats are embossed with black. Then rubbed on Daffodil Delight, TTango and CCraze ink with a sponge. It's a cold and windy day out today so, I think it's a GREAT day to create! ENJOY!

Dreary Midnight...

I tried going for the "vintage" Halloween card with this one. I don't know it I truly pulled it off, but it's close. Most all the ink was embossed. I started with the Midnight Musing Jumbo Wheel (which I remounted on cling foam and used it with the acrylic blocks) and embossed it with clear powder on Basic Gray CS, then rubbed BBlack ink over the top. Lucky Limeade is used for mating. TTango was embossed with the Spider Web embossing folder and the BIG SHOT (Gosh, I still love this machine), then also rubbed it with BBlack ink. The frame stamp from the Creative Elements set was embossed with black embossing powder on BBlack CS. Dark and Dreary candelabra was embossed with white powder on BBlack CS, then rubbed with BBlack ink. I took one of the 'designer frames' embossing folder and pressed it with the BIG SHOT and rubbed it with Whisper White ink. The 'All Holidays' stamp set provided the Happy Halloween embossed with black powder on TTango CS.

All put together with the added Raven lace ribbon (retired) and pearls.

This picture unfortunately doesn't do this card justice. It's pretty cool looking in person:) The pearls don't show up in the picture very well, but they are placed under each candle in the candelabra and placed along a portion of the dry embossed frame.

Witchy Boo...

WOW! It's been awhile since I've blogged. Well, there is a good reason for it:) I FINALLY have a studio all for myself. We just finished our basement, so ALL my sewing, scrapping and stamping items been boxed up for over a month! It's been driving me crazy, but I finally have all my stuff re-organized to the best of it's ability (storage units are still coming). I am sooo excited to get back into the swing of things!

Also, my new stamping club started and I'm stoked about what the girls have in mind for me to teach them. I will be posting all of our projects as they are completed each month.

Moving onward, I can't believe Halloween is just around the corner. So, I had to bust out my Halloween stamps, etc and CREATE!

I started out with the worst "stamping block" (like writer's block) and this card took two days to think about and actually put together. I think I was so stuck on trying to include WAY too many Halloween elements, that it mucked my brain:) I cleared my brain in the meantime-playing soccer with my girls. I came back with a clean slate, then VWAALAAH!

Well, it's raining outside (which I LOVE), but we are supposed to go camping today. Hopefully it will clear up in time for us to leave. It will be the first time that we are tent camping with our girls (they are 2 and 4 years old). I can't wait, It's going to be soooo much fun!
Anyways, this card is a simple and quick wedding card. Unfortunately the sun was a little too bright when I took the picture, so I drowns out the color. The ribbon was attached by using Sticky Stripe and ruffled.

I saw something similar to this CASED card on SCS (Splitcoast Stampers) and ran with it. First, I Heat Embossing the florets with versamark and white embossing powder. Then, colored the inner portion of the flowers with Close to Cocoa marker and followed by the CChip marker to accent. SUPER easy and it looks great! I hope you like it:)

I Love Being a Mother...

I have honestly have to say that I never enjoyed Mother's Day (sad...I know), until I became a mother myself! My daughter's ARE THE WORLD TO ME and I still have to pinch myself to remind me that I TRUELY am a mother!! It took my husband and I about 5 years of a huge emotional roller coaster-to have our first baby (rest in heaven-we love you lots). Then our daughter Annaliese "Punky" came along as a VERY pleasant surprise and a little more thought to have our second daughter Elizabeth "Monkey". They are 2 and 4 years now and I LOVE it (it's definitely mentally challenging), but who knew this was going to be the greatest thing that has ever happened to me (along side getting married to my hubby). Oh, I can go on forever about this...
Anyway, I hope you like these cards. I made the card with the straight borders first, then thought of crumpling them and making the semi-circles (shown in the first pic). I sprayed the flower with some glitter mist; unfortunately you can't see the shimmer in the pic:( But, I really like how that card turned out! I think my mother-in-law will also:)

Again, I used the owl punch to create the head, body and tail for this cute kitty. The word window punch was used for the fence. the rat-a-tat thin sizzix dies (for the BIG SHOT) were used for the wording. The paper used for this card was CChip, BBlack, SSaffron, DDelight, Marina Mist, Basic Gray, and TTango. A white ball pen always add highlight:)

Look at all the Post-It keyrings I made for the Stampin'Up! Regionals Minneapolis swap! 50 to be exact, they were fun to make and fun to use. They come in very handy when you need to jot a quick note down. Mine is clipped to my purse.
Here they are up close. I did make a couple with a basket full of hearts and cherries.

Regional Swaps...

I just got home from the Stampin'Up! Regionals in Minneapolis, MN! It was so much fun and I can't wait for (hopefully) next year already!! These are the cards I made to swap, I wish I made a lot more, but who knew:) There were about 500 people that attended today-WOW! This owl card was a hit and it was also my favorite one to make! Made from the owl punch, leaves die used with the BIG SHOT, a heart punch and a circle punch. How much easier can that get? I love it!

This card was also a hit at Regionals! How can a person resist that cute little girl, stamped along with the "Bliss" Sale-a-Bration set and Teeny Tiny Phrases.

I will be using this stamp more often, now that I have more ideas!! I took lots of pictures that will be used for inspiration and creativity during my clubs and workshops-YAHHHHH!

Tangerine Valentine...

Today, was a great day of hibernation-haha! My girls and I again did "project after project". I'm hoping some day that they will be just as excited to scrap or stamp as I am.

I'm glad they are entertained enough by me, without having to go outside. My girls and I are although, missing the great outdoors!!

WOW-that was a busy and FASSSTTTT holiday season! I had to take a break for a while because of ALL the holiday fun. I will post all the Christmas cards I made, I just don't have them downloaded yet. I did although, manage to make a Valentine card! Again, I love this owl punch. The leaf branch is made from the leaf sizzlit die. Too cute! The Amour stamp from the Artistic Etching stamp set fit perfect:)

Dasher...is a very versatile stamp...I love it:) Another Christmas card design and Stamp-a-stack option. I cased this card from Jill, thank you, this is a great card.

An easy way to jazz up an impressed folder design is to sponge a color on and around it. Look at how much it makes the Snowflakes pop out of this card!

Another easy technique I love using is simply crumpling up your paper to add a little texture.

I think I am addicted to embossing folders! It's the quickest way to make an elegant card. I used the Elegant lines embossing folder for this card. I also played around with the new paper daisies. I have yet to die them with an ink color, that will come in time:) Then I added a little something, by placing a rhinestone just before the 'always' stamp from the Always Elegant stamp set. Simple and Elegant.

Girly Spider...

I wanted to do something really girly for Halloween, I think I pulled it off:) I absolutely LOVE this 'Elizabeth' stamp and wanted to incorporate that with the Spider from Dark and Dreary. I embossed the Elizabeth stamp with green emboss powder (none Stampin'Up!). I also placed the Stampin'Up! clear rhinestones on the spider's body to make it a little more "girly". I had some pink rhinestones that I also added. The pink ribbon is actually from a Victoria's Secret box that I kept, then added the Stampin'Up! clear rhinestones:)

The weekend has been FILLED with card making!! I LOVE it! I haven't been able to make anything for awhile, boy did I get ALOT done! I will not be able to post everything tonight, but will try to throughout the week.

The Card is done with the same Brayer technique as describes in my previous post. I used Rich Razzelberry with a versa Mark pen to color the ghosts.

Crows Halloween...

I know I haven't posted in awhile, so I apologize. I make the time to stamp, make cards and scrapbook, but don't have time to post as often as I should:) Anyways, I just got done with a card I was REALLY excited to post tonight!! This was inspired by Marlene Thank you Marlene!!

As you already know I LOVE HALLOWEEN stamps!!

There is a lot of texture to this card! First I brayered my Spider web folder with white craft ink. Then ran it through the BIG SHOT on BBlack CS. Then punched out my pumpkins with different sizes of ovals and circles, sponged them with Crumb Cake Ink and stamped the crow with BBlack ink. Next came the crumpling! The stems for the pumpkins are made from OOlive 1/4" ribbon. Put together your pumpkins and arrange.

Now these were fun to make!! I've been wanting to make this type of card for awhile now and I finally received the perfect opportunity! I have a good friend who will be having a bachelorette party coming up soon. I asked her if she would be ok with a 'sexy' card versus a 'conservative' card. She said "go for the sexy":) Nothing better than bras and thongs to pull that one off!

I have seen these cards here and there on line. So, I decided to create my own template and vwala! There was no stamping involved at all. I punched some designer paper with a punch from EK success that looks like lace. I crumpled it up to give it more of a real look and lined the bras and thongs. Then used my horizontal slot punch from Stampin' Up! to create the straps. Rhinestones added just the right touch. ENJOY!

Happy Graduation Ross! My brother LOVES playing guitar and music, so of course-this one is perfect!! His school colors are orange and black. I had to use Only Orange and Basic Black for this layout. Saddened that my Stampin'Up! club for this year is coming to an end, but SO EXCITED for the new year!! Especially with the new AWESOME catalog and new colors! Our group made 6x6 albums (Actual outside measurements are 6-1/2 x 7-1/2 in) for all the 6x6 scrapbook pages that we put together throughout the year. They hold 6x6 slide in page protectors that I bought at Craft's Direct.

If you would like the instructions for this album, please let me know by just adding a comment or contacting me through Facebook or Email. This book is fun because in between the 6x6 pages that you would slide into the page protector a person could add a slide journal:) You could even decorate the inside of the album with another 6x6 page! This album closes by pressing the velcro dot together. The butterflies add just the right touch:)

Flowers in Bloom...

I love seeing the my garden bloom! All the hard work pays off, when they show their beauty:)

I have to share kind of a funny story (it wasn't really funny at the time though). My daughter Annaliese (3 years old) and I were pulling weeds in the gardens and she wandered off on her own stating "I will cut the dandelions mom".

So, she went off on her marry way and came back shortly after... about 5 hours later I noticed that about 50 Iris flower heads (that were just ready to bloom) were cut off and laying on the ground:(

I picked up all the heads and placed them on my kitchen table. Annaliese came into the kitchen and saw her pile of cut flowers. She states "I'm sorry mom, it's ok". I had her throw away the buds and say that she will not cut mommies flowers again. Now, every time we are in the gardens, she says that she will not cut any of mom's flowers.

Needless to say- the plants didn't even look like that many heads were cut off:)

I love, love love this stamp set! It comes from the NEW SUMMER MINI catalog. I tend to favor the clear/acrylic mounted stamps since they came out with them in January:) I also CAN NOT wait for the new catalog to come out with the new colors!! Anyways, I tend to get off on different subjects. Now, back to the card. I used very vanilla CS and punch 5 scallop circles. crumpled them up and put them together with a brad in the center...Vwaaalaa! I have myself a beautiful flower. I have to say , I am sort of addicted to making all different variations of flowers using different CS, DSP and punches! You will probably see throughout my postings:)

This was a super easy card, yet it looks so elegant.

Color Renovation

Are you ready for a change ?

Because this is what it's all about !!!! Stampin' UP is renovating and offering us a palette of NEW COLORS that are fresh and vibrant. See the new 4 Color Selections with some returning colors and some new ones.

As much as I will miss some of the retiring colors, I can honestly say that I will not miss some of the other ones that I hardly ever, ever used. I am already thinking of some great color combinations and I am definitely ready for a change .

Vintage Love...

This card was made just before Valentine's Day but I was unable to post it. I am loving all the new flowers made from the SU! punches:) I used Basic Grey CS and rolled it with the Very Vintage jumbo roller using VersaMark. I can not think of the person who came up with this original idea for the punched flower (sorry) but I ABSOLUTELY love it! And it's easy too:) I used the scallop circle to punch out 2. Then I distressed them by rubbing Chocolate Chip ink on the sides and crumpled them up into little balls. I then uncrumpled them and cut a slit at everyother scallop to create the petals. Punch a hole in the middle and add some felt flowers and I also added the satin old olive ribbon to use as leaves. I think I went a little over board when I was making the flowers because I came up with about 20 different color combinations using both the scallop circle punch and the new Big Flower punch out of the occasions mini catalog:) ENJOY!

This wedding paper is so versatile. I used a Brayer with Pink Pirouette ink and rolled it on the wedding paper. The butterflies are the new embosslit in the Occasions Mini Catalog. I used a small polka dot texture plate on the Close to Cocoa CS with the BIG shot. Then a small touch with pink rhinestones makes this card stand out! I was thinking about how this card would turn out last night and it turned out better than I imagined:) Enjoy.

These are the 6x6 scrapbook pages that my club girls and I have put together in the past couple months. I haven't had a chance to post them until now. I hope you like them.
This page is designed using all new products from the Occasions mini catalog. I rolled the background with the Very Vintage jumbo roller using Versa Mark ink. Then inked over the top with BBlack ink and a stamp from the Vintage Vogue set. The horizontal slot punch was used to punch the hole that the OOlive 5/8" Satin ribbon is tied through. The butterflies are punched using the embosslit and the BIG SHOT!

This picture of my family and I was taken at my aunt and uncle's place. My uncle collects "old stuff and antiques", so pretty much me has a HUGE junk yard of really cool stuff. He even has an old Ferris Wheel back there! My sister-in-law took a lot of AWESOME pics of us, even though Annaliese had a mind of her own that day:)

This card was fun because I finally got to use my oval punch to create pumpkins! I used 3 punched ovals and brushed the edges with Chocolate chip ink, then punch a OOlive leaf in the back and a Chocolate chip ribbon was used for the stem.

Super cute and simple Halloween page! I did use the retired halloween paper and Booglie Eyes stamp set.

I plan to continue making at least one 6x6 scrap page each time the girls meet for club, this way at the end of the club term there will be enough pages to create a scrapbook:)

Club Valentine's...

My club girls are so much fun:) We created lots of fun Valentine's for our kiddos!

I LOVE Valentines! It's so much fun to create fun projects for my kids to share. Like this sucker cover for instance. When the sucker is taken out, it turns into a card made from the "Whoo's your Valentine?" stamp set. So cute!!

These covers are easy to make also. If you're not in the mood to be fartsy, just punch a scalloped circle and decorate/stamp it with the Whoo's your Valentine set. Stick the scalloped circle right to the sucker and Vwaalaa-you got yourself a Valentine's.

I can't enough of how cute and simple this fishes, wishes and kisses card is:) I just punched the white CS with the Heart punch and matched a red heart in the inside of the card. The fishes, wishes and kisses was stamped on the red heart with craft white ink. To bad this picture doesn't show that to well, but it's there. The small heart punch is show cased in the Occasions mini catalog was just a perfect fit for the top of the card to simulate bubbles. A rhinestone and Basic gray taffeta ribbon was added for a little pazzaz.

I have been loving these treat cups!! Super cute:) Again using the Whoo's your Valentine stamp set with Versa ink.

Valentine Pillows...

These pillow boxes were made easily with the pillow box die from Sizzix. These are almost too easy:) I filled the red box with M&M's and the clear box is made from acetate pages filled with trail mix. The labels are stamped with Vintage Labels the NEW clear stamps that cling/mount to acrylic blocks. Here are some Birthday cards that I have made in the past month. Wow is December and January busy for birthday's!

The first card was made for my good friend Nate, who LOVES skulls and stars.

The next card is for my co-worker Deb on her 50th birthday! This card was designed with all new products from the Occasions mini catalog from SU! I rolled the Very Vintage jumbo roller onto the gray CS with Versa Ink then inked on the top of it with a stamp from the Vintage Vogue set with black. The Friend square is brushed with black ink also. I stamped the flowers onto Melon Mambo CS with Craft White Ink, then cut them out individually. I really like how this one turned out and it was pretty simple.

Merry Medallion...

The medallion stamp was stamped with versa mark ink on the Old Olive CS first. I also stamped the medallion on the Very Vanilla CS, but then dabbed with Old Olive chalk and Real Red chalk. The edges are just sponged with Real Red chalk then finished off with a Rhinestone in the center. Dimensionals are used to raise up the middle of the medallion (the Real Red circle). This card turned out better than I thought it would...I LOVE it!

I love this stamp set "Snow Swirled". I found that tracing the stamped lines with a different color (old Olive) marker REALLY makes the tree stand out! I dabbed the snow flakes with Not Quite Navy Chalk, then added a tiny rhinestone to each snowflake. The inside of this card has a pocket to place a wallet size photo, gift card or even money for a Christmas gift:) I have been making Christmas cards for the past couple of weeks and I can't decide which card I like the best, so I keep making different ones. I guess by the time I am finished, everyone will have a different card-Ha, Ha!! I'm a dork like that and I love it:)

My Medallion Christmas Card designed on the MDS program turned out AWESOME!! I just ordered it, so I can't wait until it comes in the mail:) I can't say enough about this program. I have NEVER used a digital program before and was reluctant at first, because I love the look of dimension on my pages. With the MDS you can also create that look by designing hybrid pages. All the MDS digital embellishments match the true size of the Stampin'Up! embellishments in the catalog. How fun is that?! Enjoy.

Sour Cream Spider...

This sour cream container is filled with Dove chocolates because I ate all our Halloween candy thus far:) I plan to show the girls how to make these on Thursday. This one in particular is made from a acetate designer paper from the Night & Day DSP set. I reinforced the seams with Silver Brads. I also will show the girls how to use Stampin'Up! crayons and watercolor pencils by coloring in the spider.

I was SOOO excited to do this project when I came across it on the Martha Stewart website! It's a coffin created to put candy in it for party favors or gifts! The template is EASY! I used one piece of double-sided DSP, then decorated it silver brads and "From the Crypt" stamp set. I think I might have to show the girls how to do this during our next Club meeting:)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRIS!! It's my husband's birthday and he LOVES skulls, so I thought this stamp set would be PERFECT;) My three year old daughter also wanted to make daddy a card, so this is what she came up with. I am pretty impressed with her skills!! The only thing she let me do use put a little glue in the spots that she wanted to place the stars.

I'm BACK!!! I found my old camera...the picture exposure isn't as good so bare with me:) Well, I have been VERY busy! I started up a Stampin'Up! Club that is called "Running with Scissors". This was a fun card to finish. My husband says it's in his "top five" favorites! I embossed the Basic Grey with the Big Shot. Used the sponge dauber for the Razzleberry ink in the middle of the flower, then used the versa pen with razzleberry ink to fill in the rest of the flowers. Old Olive marker was used to trace along the stem lines. This card turned out better than I imagined it!

I was excited when I saw this card made by Chat at www.memystampsandi.blogspot.com, I wanted to give it a whirl. I changed the colors and format a bit, but I think it turned out great! My husband likes how the colors "flow".

The flower was really easy to make. I just punched out a scalloped circle. Then cut into the "dips" of the scallop, then cut into the "humps" of the scallop. Distressed it a little with Close to Cocoa ink, then Voaalaa:)

I then punched OOlive cardstock with the oval punch, folded them in half and ran them through the crimper. The filigree brad adds so much!

Rockabilly Organizer...

I needed something to organize my cards. So I made this! I love how it turned out. This allows me to keep track of everyone's birthdays, anniversaries, etc by writing them in the blanks. It will also keep me organized with the cards I make for those events! I just slip the made cards into the pocket, then send them off when it comes time. This was a super easy project too!

I got the idea off the Split Coast Stampers website under their tutorials. You will need 6 sheets of 12 x12 DSP (Designer Series Paper) and 2 sheets of 6" x 7 -3/4" for your front and back covers. I decided to cover chipboard measuring the same dimensions so it's sturdier. The calendar print outs are also on the SCS tutorial. http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ee/index.php/resources/tutorials/card_organizer/

Take a piece of your 12" x 12" cardstock and score it at 4 1/4". Repeat with all of the 12" x 12" cardstock pieces. Turn your cardstock piece one quarter and score at 6". If you are using Stampin' Up! cardstock score at 5 15/16", because it's not quite a 12" square. Fold the lower part up (on the 4-1/4" score line), then fold in half. Repeat for all 6 sheets. Put together the cover, all 6 folded pages and the back cover. Punch 3 holes down the side (be sure to have all your folded pages matching before you punch them). Hold the book together with 3 rings (purchased at Office Max), then DECORATE to your heart's desire.

I was also really excited to use my new purchase from SU! -the Circle Scissors Plus. This tool allows you to cut hundreds of different size circles (also easy to use)! I'm going to have a lot of fun with this!

Happy Mother's Day Cards! I am so ecstatic about how this card turned out, I made 6 of them. I knew I wanted to do something with my new Sizzix Dies and it turned out a lot better than I thought. I was browsing the SCS website, when I came across this idea from Stephanie Luman at www.sluman.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com.

She also has a posted tutorial for this card. Thanks Stephanie for the awesome idea!

The Sizzix Scribbles Die makes these flowers stand out 3-D and were perfect for the job. The flowers are held together with the antique copper brads. I decorated the butterfly with white Signo Ink and used my oval punch to punch out 4 Certainly Celery colored ovals. Then folded the ovals in half and crimped them. After crimping, I shaped the leaves again with my oval punch and accented then by rubbing Certainly Celery ink on top. Then VWAALAA!

I love this card. I made it for my sister's Birthday. These scalloped pocket cards are so easy and unique. Yet again, I used the Scallop Dies with my BIG SHOT. You my also noticed I used the large Polka Dots Texturz Plate on the Basic Black card stock. The Texturz Plates are a simple way to enhance any card!
